great question.
one of the best ways to put an end to gossip
is to remove yourself from the gossipers!
for example, if you hear friends gossiping
about another friend, you can say something like
‘you know what? it’s not for me to judge. or,
i have no opinion either way on that.”
then, graciously take your leave and go
about your business. they will eventually
get the hint that you don’t want to participate
in gossiping.
